Festival is taking place in 8 countries: Bern (Switzerland), Moscow (Russia), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Kyoto (Japan), Cape Town (South Africa), Cairo (Egypt), San Jose (Costa Rica) and Bangkok (Thailand).
Ilya Sherstobitov was born in Moscow. Graduated from The Gerasimov Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) and Moscow Region State University. In 2016 graduated from Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (VKSR) as a film director. 2012 - 2014 worked as CEO of Moscow School of New Cinema. At the present moment produces his own projects.
As ambitious as it is unforgettably bold, shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival unfolds simultaneously in multiple cities on five continents, bringing together more than 30,000 filmmakers and film lovers in ways rarely experienced elsewhere on the festival circuit. Over its 12 days, shnit celebrates more than 200 short films of all genres and styles.
