A self-confident and narrow-minded police officer, a weak beta careerist and the most insecure courier find themselves in a mysterious mansion with a terrifying story. All of them are driven there by their own, different reasons. The officer wants to once again assert himself at the expense of the weaker men and adjust the whole world around him to his standards. A careerist wants to curry favor with an ungrateful boss, sacrificing the requests of her own mother. And the courier dreams of someone finally noticing him. In the mansion, they will have to face their fears, to face change. Or stay here forever...

Director’s statement
The main idea of the film is that inside each and every one of us there dwells a secret or an unanswered question, which we will have to face - one way or another - in a certain period of our life. The most important thing is not to give in to what you face, that is, to confront yourself and those “demons” that live inside you.
It turns out that the main conflict lies inside each of us. And the strength of each person, the ability to cope with oneself and the encounter with our inner self is revealed in the film.
In a sense, you can call this house “purgatory”. In parallel, there is a line of a person playing with gaming pieces, as if they are real people. And vice vera. People are game pieces. And every action that happens to this or that person in the story is a subtle game of Mr. X. The characters on his chessboard are revealed at random. These are people who are somehow mired in the routine of their lives and are, to some extent, outcasts and non-heroes. It is important to look ahead, because any of your acquaintances and friends can turn the hand of fate in your direction - for good or ill.
The film is shot as a mystical thriller, which introduces an urban hoax based on the origin of the fantastic and paranormal.
ABOUT THE FILM DIRECTOR:
Yulia Bogatova was born on 18.06.1991 in Volgograd, Russia. In 2012 graduated from the Volgograd State Institute of Arts and Culture as an actress. In 2021 graduated from the Academy of Cinematographic and Theatre Arts n.a. Nikita Mikhalkov (course of V.I. Khotinenko and V.A. Fenchenko).
