Now falconers do not go into the forest for prey. Therefore, falconers become more attached to their birds of prey, which creates more experiences and little tragedies.
The characters in the film are five people who are connected in different ways to birds of prey. Someone takes care of the affected birds, someone deeply studies the philosophy of falconry. But all of them once had to endure the hardest thing in the life of a falconer - the loss of a bird.

Director’s statement
We made this film because the very idea to show a modern falcon hunt has deep relevance. We were used to the sight of a hunter coming out to the field with a bird-of-prey, but now that’s not the case.
ABOUT THE FILM DIRECTOR:
Julia Makarova was born on 31.10.1999 in Syktyvkar, Russia. In 2017, she entered the St. Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television as a Non-Fiction Film Director.
