The USSR was considered a reading country and there is much truth. It was considered important to be educated, cultural, advanced. It is difficult to imagine, for example, the students of the 70s-80s in isolation from hard rock or disco music. Mostly, the Soviet musical landscape was without a taste of color or smell. It is striking that a month after the release of the new Pink Floyd or Boney’M album in some Novosibirsk or Krasnoyarsk, these recordings sounded from open windows and discos.
However, the mechanism has been successful, so quickly and, despite the distances and ideological prohibitions, which widely represented the best examples of popular music in the world. And how did the system react to this? Did Nazareth or Led Zeppelin know about their colossal popularity in 1/6 of the land?

Director’s statement
It seems extremely important to give an idea to the current young generation, in many ways disoriented in the cultural sense. Create a portrait of the era in the context of youth culture. In our film, there will be meetings with those who disseminated music, with Russian and foreign musicians, whose recordings so worried the young generation of the 70’s-80’s. A distinctive feature of the project will be a live narration with game episodes, the overall flavor of the era.
ABOUT THE FILM DIRECTOR:
Evgeny Artemyev was born on 09.05.1966 in Biysk, Altai region, Russia. In 2008 graduated Film School in Moscow. Currently, working at the Artstuff Visual production.
