St. Elizabeth’s Children’s Hospice is like a castle. Those that dwell there are princes and princesses. They live their lives, play, go outside. But they’re all stricken with a deadly disease, which haunts the place. It’s always nearby. It is the Dragon. The Dragon can attack you unawares and claim your life. And every day the child lives, it wins that day in the struggle with the Dragon. The children fight for their lives.

Director’s statement
The movie is meant to draw attention to the problems of palliative childhood. A child’s treatment of death, a child’s socialization, the creation of an inclusive landscape for children in our country. The question as to what is the purpose or the overriding idea of the film can be answered by a simple phrase: the fact that these children stay united, their victory over the sentence of their medical diagnosis, their faith in TOMORROW that is bound to come. The princes and princesses in our film live while they have the strength to live, conquering every day, ripping it out of the jaws of the Dragon. Because in all the turmoil, they choose LIFE!
ABOUT THE FILM DIRECTOR:
Natalie Kulakova was born on 03.10.1972 in Moscow, Russia. In 1995 graduated from the Moscow State Regional University.
