Director’s statement
I was looking for a theme that would actually touch me, that would earnestly excite me. In search of this theme, I turned to my faith. And I thought about what people actually believe in? What is important to them? What is precious to them? And I came to the realization that each person has his own faith, as well as his own character, family, values. I began looking for true faith and purity in people. And through it, I got the idea of making a film about people who are far from the modern world, and about what happens when this world breaks into their lives. And about what these people believe in.
