On November 25, 2016 Open City Film & Video Festival "Black and White Rainbow" announced the winners.
The Jury selected 12 winners, including 5 short movies from Russia, Georgia and Ukraine, that CinePromo distribute to film festivals around the world.
- THE HUNTER’S HOUSE, Russia, directed by Andrey Egorov, II prize
The main character of the movie (Hunter), who lost his wife 6 years ago, lives all alone away from civilization. He has cut off all his communications to the outer world. His only “companion” is its dog (Marta), but Hunter keeps even her at a distance. His life is nothing but a row of the days, one same as another: hunting, cooking and searching for radiowaves on an old broadcast receiver. All that the Hunter has is his memories, and yet they cannot bring back the lost meaning of his existence.
However, everything changes dramatically on one cold March morning, when the Hunter discovers that the dog has disapeared. He starts a chase after a thief and catches the criminal red-handed.

If you give something away, it will live on.
- Road To Home, Georgia, directed by Tatiana Astapova, Diploma
Action of the movie "Road to home" happens in the small village of Abkhazia, in which the local administration has decided to pave an asphalt road. On the way of construction there is a natural barrier - a tree which, according to stories of old residents, has been here since the foundation of the village. Under a dense shadow of the tree, the inhabitants found salvation from the hot Abhazian sun, on the branches clawing more than one generation of boys and girls. It keeps the memory about love, about war and peace, about life and death. According to the legend, if to cut down this tree, the sun will become so bright that will burn everything - people, country, history.
